What does it mean? In the most basic sense dB means decibel. A decibel is a measurement of sound level or volume. DJ means Disc Jockey, and is defined as someone who plays recorded music.
Apart from each other the dB and the DJ are just a bunch of letters. But put them together, and you have Orange County's BEST event production company!

dB DJs was founded in 1998 by Ben Penman. 2008 marks our 10th year in business! 10 years is a long time for a DJ company to be continually providing services, but the years of service have made us one of the most experienced companies available!
Throughout the years we have been able to entertain thousands of people and give them the best entertainment experience possible. Our amazing staff members have provided the highest level of service and commitment to excellence that dB DJs has been know for.

We regularly provide services for Weddings, Schools, Corporate Events, College functions, Private Parties, Government Events, Military Events, Community Events, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. If you have an event, we have probably done one just like it before and will make certain that yours is perfect.

We Give Back To The Community
It is true, we do give back to the community. You can hire us and feel good about knowing that you too are giving back to your community. We donate time, money, and services to the resource that matters to us most - children. As all of our employees are former Tustin Unified School District students, in 2006 we donated over $6,000 of time and money to the Tustin Unified School District. In 2007 we assisted in the production of a Halloween Event that benefited the Tustin Public Schools Foundation, and donated over $6,000 in services to the TPSF's Dinosaur Dash.
In addition to helping schools we voluneer our time to the Children's Hospital of Orange County. We are the official DJ of the CHOC Oncology Prom, which is a dance put on for cancer patients who, because of their illness, are unable to attend their own Prom.

Owner and founder
of dB DJs, Ben Penman, had an early start in music and lighting and has been hooked on the
combination ever since. With DJ experience starting in 1998, Ben has the know-how that many DJs just don't have.
As a University of California, Irvine Graduate, with a Degree in Lighting and Sound Design, Ben has enhanced his technical ability to produce an event from start to finish, while the charisma and professionalism that has made the company a huge success still shines through.
Jen Holloway
A great DJ capable of playing to your musical Desires. Jen's love for music keeps her up on all the new hits as well as keeps her coming back for the "oldies-but-goodies." Starting her DJing in 2001, Jen is one great DJ and is usually found accompanying Ben as an assistant at weddings and larger events.
Jen is also a great event planner/coordinator. Her organization keeps her on top of all aspects of your event. From the caterers to the photographers she doesn't miss a beat and keeps the event moving smoothly.
Jen is a student at CSULB and is studing to become a teacher. She enjoys being an aid in special education classes for elementary schools in her free time.
